English Dub Review: Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts: “Peace and a Secret Revealed; Flight and the Justice’s Ambition”
Overview: Leo (Ray Hurd) prepares his formal announcement about the human peace treaty with Yoana and Sariphi (Emi Lo) acting as his human queen. However, a sudden transformation sends earth-shattering waves throughout Ozmargo.
Our Take: Before a big revelation, there are some other loose ends tied up, such as Anastasia’s relationship with Ocelot. It’s set up as a “reveal”, but it’s plainly obvious in her flashbacks that it lacks any real shock.
Now, you wouldn’t be remiss in thinking the human king’s quick receptiveness to Sariphi’s words is an oddly simple resolution. However, the king’s righteousness smartly shows how similar humans and beasts are, laying the groundwork for a peaceful resolution. Also, it sets up the real point of tension: the king’s secret. Even the king’s regrets in never witnessing stars, due to his condition, is all in service of the seismic reveal.
With Set having revealed Leo’s true form, it sets up an uneasy alliance between him and Anubis as Sirius unravels his mixed feelings. Sariphi’s decision to go headfirst into danger to save a beast child is brave. Of course, it is also a predictably stupid choice in trying to appeal to a beast guard’s humanity with the quick retaliation she gets. At least Lante was actually able to be of some use this time around in saving her.
Typical writing for Sariphi aside, the effect she has on Leo defines their dynamic. The heart and resolve she imbues shows how core she is to his strength when his insecurities are most consuming. It is the definition of a marriage and sweet representation. Jourmangand also gets time to shine in reaffirming his dedication to Leo.
Set’s impending reunion with his half-brother is intriguing in their newfound familial connection with the key to proving Leonhart’s bloodline within the palace. Hopefully, his parent’s progressive relationship serves as both a meaningful ending and new beginning for beast/human relations.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
