English Dub Review: Management of a Novice Alchemist “Monsters Appeared!”

Overview:

Sarasa’s skills come in handy when some gatherers run afoul of a monster, but not everyone understands that in alchemy and finance alike, there must be equivalent exchange.

Our Take:

I want to nitpick a bit of a technical problem I occasionally have with watching anime on HiDive. Every once in a while I get some really bad sound feedback where the characters sound really bad, to the point where I even look up to see if a voice actor had to take time off it sounds so unlike them. Look… HiDive and Crunchyroll are THE destinations for anime and as a fan, I think we deserve better. Between this and Crunchyroll not translating onscreen text it makes the viewing experience difficult.

As for the episode itself, it was not what I’ve come to expect from the series so far. It’s only been three episodes but still. I never thought of Sarasa as a skilled fighter but then she kicked a hell bear to death and I was forced to reevaluate my personal biases. If anything it made my excitement for this show grow. I was expecting a calm business building but instead, we got a badass shop owner who can kill a whole herd of monsters, let’s go!
