English Dub Review: Jujutsu Kaisen “Dull Knife”

Overview:

Yuji and Megumi lift the veil that was keeping sorcerers from entering Shibuya. Nobara and Nitta encounter Shigemo and a battle ensues. Shigemo has the upper hand, but Nanami arrives with the deaths of the assistant supervisors in mind.

Our Take:

I think my only problem with this episode was that it was slightly annoying that Nobara couldn’t handle this Shigemo guy on her own. I think Nobara is pretty dang strong on her own and seeing her get owned by that dude and his moving sword was a little annoying. Nitta and her did all they could to get away from the guy but I just think Nobara can handle herself maybe this will lead to a learning moment for her.

What made it slightly okay was when Nanami showed up. I think we all knew that Nanami was strong but he’s always seemed so lackadaisical that I didn’t think anything or anyone could get under his skin. But I can tell you here and now that Shigemo definitely pissed off Nanami and after seeing how angry he gets, that might be the last thing I’d ever want to do. Nanami skyrocketed up my favorites list for this series and there might be a surprise member on that list as well. How badass does Toji Fushiguro have to be to take over a soul with his body? Apparently, that is really hard to have happen but now there are some dead people who happened to be bad guys. Will he target Megumi next?
