OUR TAKE
We’re not diving into thick and impenetrable continuity right out of the gate just because it’s the fourth season, thank god. I know exactly what the dynamics are going into the episode just by watching how the characters interact, and something that might have been revealed somewhat later into the series like the kids’ mom Nancy (who apparently didn’t first show up until late into the first season) is easy to understand out of the gate. Having a divorced man character might seem out of the ordinary but it’s a scenario that many kids watching may understand.
As for the kids themselves, Tilly seems to be very invested in her singing, and the latter segment shows her how potentially stressful it can be when your passion becomes your nine to five job (especially if you have to work with guest star Michael Bolton). And I’m sure as this season goes on, we’ll get some episodes going into Cricket and the grandma too, even if there are probably several dozen of those already in the last three seasons. Either way, I’m very much looking forward to my continued journey with the Green family for however long this season goes.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
