English Dub Review: The Duke of Death and His Maid “The Duke and Everyone’s Daily Life”

Overview:

The Duke and Alice return to the mansion, bearing gifts from Circus Gemini. Cuff and Zain go out for their first date, but get caught out in the rain.

Our Take:

Once again we got an episode that mostly focused on Cuff and Zain and I have to say I kind of like that. At least with them, there can be some romantic progression whereas with the Duke and Alice, nothing will happen until the curse is lifted. Which I hope will be soon and we can have some conflict that doesn’t involve curse. Seems like there is a storyline there with Alice’s mom, and even Daleth’s sister all are intriguing. So, there are definitely options for some fun stories not involving the curse.

We got a little bit of time with the Duke’s sister and brother. I hope they can resolve the misunderstanding that might have come up when their mom walked by. Let’s just say it didn’t sound like they were working out when we knew that was exactly what they were doing. For once the mother actually looked kind of like a mom but I really hope some of the family dynamics work themselves out soon. The characters in this series are so fantastic that I could see them all being great if they were just given a little more screentime.
