English Dub Review: The Duke of Death and His Maid “The Duke, Alice, and the Second Anniversary”

It’s been two years since Alice came to the mansion, and the Duke wants to do something special for her.

Our Take:

I am going to get a bit of technical stuff out of the way first. You all know how much I love this series and I hope it keeps getting continued. If you feel the same, I have some fantastic news for you. Today it was announced that The Duke of Death and His Maid will be getting a third season. With how much fun I’ve had watching this I couldn’t be happier. Not only that but despite the slightly macabre subject matter this is one of my biggest feel-good anime to watch.

I’ve said it before and I’ll probably say it a bunch of times after this. For me characters are paramount, they are what make a story great. I can’t think of too many stories that have bad characters. This series has some of the best characters and there has been a ton of growth from them. Daleth is a perfect example, I thought she was going to be the main villain of the series but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Her and Walter’s relationship seems to be blossoming into something before our eyes.
