Kyotaro comes to the weirdest conclusion in his head that love might be a mental illness, showcasing his peculiar perspective on romantic feelings. In a series of amusing incidents at the library, he unintentionally sets up a meeting between Anna and Kanaoya, subtly facilitating their interaction. Despite his awkward efforts, Kyotaro ends up taking Anna home on his bike, leading to some humorous exchanges, like swapping bottle lids as a quirky form of thanks.

The narrative also unfolds with small yet significant moments, such as Anna’s envy of Kyotaro’s relationship with his older sister and Kyotaro’s realization that Anna intentionally came to talk to him. to him on purpose, despite her claim otherwise. Later on, Anna almost gets in trouble for snacking in the library but dodges a bullet thanks until Kyotaro hiding her evidence to the point that the teacher forgets to scold Anna. Grateful, the episode concludes with Anna declares their friendship, leaving viewers curious about the future developments between the two…

Overall, this episode successfully combines humor, heartfelt moments, and character development, showcasing Kyotaro’s unexpected positive actions that challenge his earlier portrayal in previous episodes, introducing the notion that love has the power to bring out the best in individuals. Particularly with the two girls in the first half, the bike ride scene, and then Anna’s line at the end. It’s also worth noting that Kyotaro’s growth so far has been amazing. His sticking up for Anna was so out of character for the edgy chuuni we saw in previous episodes, and in some ways pushes a positive narrative that love is capable of bringing out the best in people. The question is, what will Love compelled Kyotaro to do next?
