English Dub Review: Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War “The Headless Star”

I know that it’s a bit of a shonen trope for the hero to show up and be bad-ass and save the day. Goku taking down the Ginyu Force, or Sakura screaming for Naruto and he shows up. But for whatever reason Bleach just nails it in the coolest way. I’m not saying he’s stronger than any of the other guys but when he shows up you just feel it and it was definitely felt today. Maybe it’s because I just recently watched Bleach but I can recall the times Ichigo shows up way more than anyone else.

There was some heartbreak to Ichigo’s return however because no one up until now knew that Uryu had switched sides and I don’t think Ichigo thought his friend would do that. If it wasn’t for Orihime and Chad showing up I think the shock might have killed Ichigo. There have always been a few characters that were pretty fan-service heavy but I have to say this cour has had a lot more fan-service than before. Orihime’s new outfit in particular made me raise my eyebrows.
