English Dub Review: Am I Actually the Strongest? “I’ll Go With You”
Overview:
Haruto sets off for the royal capital with Liza as his attendant. Along the way, they run across a horse-drawn bus being attacked by a ferocious beast. And one of the passengers happens to be a mysterious woman who’s hiding a secret or two…
Our Take:
One thing that is a minor frustration with these anime that are based on light novels is the amount of characters that get introduced. It’s usually only a twelve episode series and tons of characters get introduced and very little screentime to go around. The reason I bring this up is that a character was introduced in this episode that I don’t even recall seeing in the opening. She seems interesting and has some secrets for sure but how we just got a couple new characters introduced and I don’t know if there’s enough time left.
In classic anime fashion, Haruto goes on a “date” with his sister and gets weirdly excited about it. I mean she’s not really his sister but they never are in anime but still. With as excited as Haruto got about going on his first date I was surprised romance hasn’t been more of a factor but perhaps we just haven’t seen it yet.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
