Rick and Morty: Season Seven Premiere Date Coming Next Week

Hulu just dropped the newest season of Solar Opposites which features a Justin Roiland-less voice for Korvo, which if you’re going to cancel a guy for false allegations and replace him, going the non-mimic route in the form of Dan Stevens seems to be working out even if the show’s opening credits now features a Justin Roiland-less credit (co-creator Mike McMahan’s name is also off of the masthead).

Rick and Morty is another ball-of-wax for a few reasons. For starters, Justin voiced numerous characters for the series on top of the titular stars of the show. Next, producer Steven Levy has not only been saying that the show is going to use mimics for the show’s seventh season, but says “they may even be better” than the guy who created the series in the first place. However, regardless of what your take is on the show’s future, early fan reaction has been largely negative as it pertains to changing Justin in the first place, and with a series that has already been halving in viewership ratings season over season for quite a while now, allowing even MORE fan viewership to walk in favor of cancel culture looks to be a lose-lose situation. A quick glance at all of the social media comments on YouTube, Facebook, and X show a fan base that thinks Justin should be given back reigns to the series that he birthed in the first place.

Regardless, Rick and Morty season seven’s premiere date will be announced next week by Adult Swim according to this teaser they just released which, ironically, still features Justin Roiland’s vocals in the last frame as originally recorded for the end of the show’s sixth season.
