Pixel United Confirms Second Season Of “Raid: Shadow Legends” Inspired Animated Series
Deadline is reporting that Pixel United, the studio behind the very impressive first season of Raid: Call of the Arbiter aka the digital series inspired by the popular game Raid: Shadow Legends, is readying a second season of the show and is also contemplating a longer-form series and even a feature-length adaptation.
The first season of Raid: Call of the Arbiter reportedly brought in 20 million views on YouTube and Pixel United is readying to potentially bring the franchise to streamers and other entertainment companies to see how they can further extend the brand with additional animated properties.
Our Take
Gaming is huge for adult animation right now, and not just video gaming. Animated properties inspired by other hobbies like Warcraft, Dungeons & Dragons, and others have shown that fans are willing to flock to support their favorite IP. Pixel United is proving that already on YouTube, any streaming app with a presence on consoles and mobile devices might have an easy slam dunk here.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
