English Dub Review: Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation “Ranoa University of Magic”

Overview:

Following the Man-God’s advice, Rudeus enrolls in school. He reunites with an old friend and meets potential new enemies, but will he find what he seeks? And what does the future hold for him and the enigmatic “Silent Fitz”?

Our Take:

I don’t think I will ever not be blown away by the animation quality of this series. It’s got a hand-drawn quality that I really enjoy. There was a duel between Rudeus and Fitz that I had to rewind and watch a couple of times because I enjoyed it so much. Studio Bind has skyrocketed to the top of my list of favorites. There’s something about Studio Shaft I just love but Bind has made an argument for me.

As for Rudeus and the school arc, it’s off to an interesting start. I think it’s funny he didn’t realize Fitz was Sylphie or at least someone that might know her. Fitz pulled out the wand he gave Sylphie during their duel and was just like “Oh that’s a cute wand”. Now I know what Luke meant when he told Rudeus his memory sucks. Speaking of Luke, It’s interesting to find out that he’s Rudeus’ cousin. The Greyrat family naming conventions confuse me.
