English Dub Review: Farming Life in Another World “Princess Yuri”
Overview (Spoilers Below):
Spurred by her followers, the demon lord’s daughter attempts to invade the Great Tree Village. “Attempts” being the keyword.
Our Take:
With only three episodes left in this tranquil series, we have at least one more invader seeking the destruction of Hiraku’s peaceful village. This time, it’s Princess Yuri, Galgardo’s daughter, who thinks Flowrem is being held prisoner. With her trio of idiotic demon nobilities, Rosalind, Klakkase, and Roaju, Yuri invades the town to “rescue” her childhood friend Flowrem.
Fortunately, Flowrem managed to prevent the invasion and have the nobilities work in the village as punishment. After the trio’s humorous attempts to escape and a heartfelt conversation between Yuri and Flowrem, Yuri realizes she made a mistake and leaves for home. As for her idiotic trio, known as the Town Hall Trio, they stayed behind to help Flowrem with the financial paperwork. Of course, it’s also because they no longer want to deal with the demon court politics.
Afterward, in a predictable fashion, the village is greeted by more visitors deciding to live here in the form of mountain elves led by Ya. They brought their fire magic, which they used to make pottery goods. This means Hiraku won’t struggle to make one from the soil. Following the trio’s foiled attempt to manipulate Hiraku, another Bloody Viper was discovered in a new dungeon, whose meat can increase sexual behavior, which the elves want to repopulate their species.
After this latest series of repetitive yet charming events, the episode’s final moments are where the series could get more interesting compared to Hiraku becoming mayor. This is due to Ru falling suddenly ill as the following winter approaches. It’s later revealed that Ru is pregnant with Hiraku’s baby. So we’re assuming that the two handled the business between the episodes. More importantly, the village is about to get even larger with the impending birth.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
