English Dub Review: Am I Actually the Strongest? “Strongest in the World”

Overview:

Haruto, in the guise of the Black Knight, appears before the queen in her chamber, determined to put an end to her schemes. But Queen Gizelotte proves to be more powerful than anyone Haruto has faced before, with a secret weapon up her sleeve…

Our Take:

This episode had some endgame implications, or so I thought, but Haruto managed to whoop his mom’s ass and she was none the wiser. But now he might be facing an even scarier challenge… going to school! He was hopeful that he was finally going to be able to enjoy his lazy, good-for-nothing life but it seems his father had other plans. Many people don’t get recommendations to the academy that he did so it’s something that he has to do.

So far this show has been fun, not the greatest or anything like that but enjoyable. It has some tropes that some might find annoying but lucky for me they’re some of my favorites. Look, I know it’s “boring” but there’s just something about an overpowered protagonist that’s fun to me. There also hasn’t been a gross amount of “brocon” stuff when it looked like there was going to be. I’m looking forward to seeing some more characters get introduced.
