English Dub Review: Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury “The Woven Path”

Our Review:

Don’t get me wrong, I imagine this will still be a very depressing show and have a bittersweet ending but seeing everyone back together was really great. Guel Jeturk has to have one of the best character arcs in a series I’ve seen in a long time. From where he started to now losing a duel on purpose to Suletta in order for her to be able to be there for Miorine like he can’t. Well, at least it seemed like he lost on purpose to me but maybe not. Speaking of the duel what is it with the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise and fencing? Seems like there is at least one fencing duel in every series.

I am really intrigued to see how all of this gets resolved because Quiet Zero seems just about unstoppable at this point. It’s going to be a family battle but more than that it seems like a lot of characters are going to get some time to shine in this final battle. We will have to see how this series sticks the landing to decide for me where it fits in my Gundam series rankings. Will it go full Yuri with Suletta being Miorine’s fiance again? That would be an awesome step for Gundam in my opinion.
