English Dub Review: Dr. Stone: New World: “With This Fist, A Miracle”
Overview: Kohaku (Felecia Angelle), Ginro (Justin Briner) and Amaryllis (Leah Clark) devise a plan to get the materials in the ship out as stealthy as they can to avoid alerting anyone. Later, Senku (Aaron Dismuke) learns about what Byakuya (Kent Williams) endured to help him in the present.
Our Take: Finding the platinum was already challenging for Kohaku, Senku and the Kingdom of Science. However, getting the mineral out of its sturdy, concrete cocoon presents unique challenges in and of itself. The engineering of a silent bomb is an interesting conundrum in how an unassuming substance, plaster, plays a vital role. It offers all members of the group to play a key part in taking the material, like Kohaku’s gorilla power. There’s also fun distractions from Ginro and Amaryllis, playing to their strengths in his cowardly nature and her charm, respectively.
However, while there are fun challenges, the real heart lies in the lengths Byakuya’s went for Senku. Byakuya’s daunting, strenuous labor all for his son and humanity’s future is moving in the persevering love for his son, transcending time. The identity of Senku’s blood-related father is also readdressed. It’s lack of importance is fitting considering their heartfelt relationship, not to mention their similarities despite that. However, the tease of Senku’s biological father being Byakuya’s friend paves the way for a prominent storyline further down the road.
With the elixir finished, the only thing left is free the rest of the crew from their encrusted prison. Senku and the gang ’s next mission and renewed hope makes acts as a perfect ending point until the second cour.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
