English Dub Review: Am I Actually the Strongest? “Char Adores Me Now”

Overview:

Haruto is suddenly faced with Charlotte’s constant affection, which he finds a welcome change, albeit one that will take some getting used to. But what Haruto finds more troubling is Charlotte’s new burgeoning obsession… with Japanese anime?!

Our Take:

Haruto was hoping to get Char not to hate him so I guess he succeeded but now she wants to be with him all the time. I suppose there are worse problems, and he created an even more giant monster by turning her into an otaku. Now she’s obsessed with anime but he’s trying to regulate her tv time like a good big brother. She did ask that he go help their father deal with some bandits, like a true hero of justice. His hero of justice sure does look like Zero from Code Geass though which isn’t a bad thing, just funny.

The prince and princess came for a visit and of course, the prince is a spoiled brat. He’s voiced by Justin Briner who can do a really good spoiled brat voice, and his sister is voiced by Dani Chambers. Those are two pretty solid voice actors for minor characters so I’m hoping they return. This one has been pretty fun so far. There’s definitely worse anime airing right now for English dubs. Looking at you Urusei Yasura and Rent-a-Girlfriend.
