Blu-Ray Review: The Venture Bros.: Radiant Is the Blood of the Baboon Heart

As time goes on, more and more media companies are going to come back to hard disc releases. Warner Bros. Discovery does it all of the time, but the likes of Disney, Paramount, and others are going to want the diversification of revenue. For fans, I think the importance is being ever more paramount. With streamers like Max removing, even it’s own owned content, from services, one never knows just how long something is going to stay on there. Even Venture Bros. is slated to be removed from MAX on August 12th, so buying this home release is ever more valuable.

Forget the fact that the movie kicks ass, you can read our full review of The Venture Bros.: Radiant Is The Blood Of The Baboon Heart here, but this is about the home release which might actually be the best home release of the year. Included in the Blu-Ray comes with it a host of special features that are just hilarious, including commentary from Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer, a Q&A for fans, and an exclusive special featuring John Hodgman

For my money, my favorite special feature was the poster that comes with the Blu-Ray. For starters, who even does posters anymore and why isn’t this more of a thing? Personally, I think the poster is worth the home release all on it’s own, but you get a great movie that nobody can change on you if certain parts of it become taboo down the road and you don’t have to worry about how long MAX keeps the movie on its service. Forever uncensored, forever yours, this is the one to get for any fan of Venture Bros, adult animation film, and really everybody breathing.
