Our Take
We only have a couple more weeks of new episodes of Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head, but this week, we’ve got episodes from Annabel Seymour and Artie Johann, the latter of whom is a frequent writer for Family Guy.
The result is a pretty hilarious two-timer. “Hoarders” actually fixed an issue I had with a previous episode where I noted that the trash backgrounds being used for the setting weren’t up to par, this week, the backgrounds were much improved and featured greater details than prior. Even cooler, the final sequence featured a dead Beavis and Butt-Head which I’ve been waiting to see for the entire season and, I gotta tell ya, I would LOVE bits where the two guys are zombies or something stupid like that in the future. Likewise, “Needle Dicks” might be one of the best episodes of the season for a few reasons. One, Beavis running around with needles in his body is hilarious. Two, there’s a scene where he strums along “Enter Sandman” WITH the needles that were fantastic.
Last, but not least, the cutaways. Both were excellent. The commentary on the knitting video is the down hill shit that I love. “How To Scream” is impressive for a few other reasons other than the fact that it was hilarious. Having used to be in the music industry that used to represent artists that would sing the particular brand of music that the YouTube host was teaching for, on TOP of the fact that I understand the intricacies of voice acting. And let me tell you, the fact that Mike Judge was able to pull off some of the things that he did, WHILE voicing Beavis, is the type of shit that should be made for consideration for best voice acting performance Emmys. If it’s not, I don’t know what is. Because there’s NO way that Mike was able to do that scene and NOT be in some sort of discomfort after the fact and that’s what makes him one of the true ones in the business. He probably doesn’t have to do any of this shit, Judge has a ton of money and can just as easily put his name on shit and let it ride…instead…he does heavy metal-ish vocals in a Beavis voice. Good god, we don’t deserve voices like Mike Judge in this world.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
