English Dub Review: Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion “Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion”

Overview (Spoilers Below):
Raeliana figured out the whereabouts of the novel’s main character, Beatrice: the graveyard. Upon arriving at the site, Raeliana encounters a mysterious man visiting the grave, resulting in her discovering a shocking revelation.

Our Take:
The finale is upon us, with Raeliana finally discovering Beatrice’s location. We learned from Raeliana that Beatrice first met Noah at the graveyard, where his cousin Robert was laid to rest. Robert was supposed to be the Duke, but a tragic accident prevented that destiny, resulting in Noah becoming the Duke instead. The tragedy played a part in Noah’s first encounter with the main character in the novel. However, since Raeliana has been dismissing her original fate many times, it’s unsurprising to see that the world continues to change around her.
The graveyard is no different, as Raeliana encounters someone else visiting Robert’s grave instead of Beatrice. Even worse is that the Wynknight family grave has disappeared along with the seal. The man explained that a grave robbery caused the graves to be moved to a different location, but it’s possible that it could be a cover-up to hide the Wynknight family seal. This led to Raeliana realizing again that her attempts to survive resulted in the story drastically changing, or as the mysterious man called it, changing her fate.
We knew that Raeliana’s new fate would change the novel from the get-go. However, seeing her finally accepting it is enough to close the series’s first chapter suitably and provide interesting questions about where it’ll go for season two. Someone other than her former fiancé is trying to kill Raeliana, and Beatrice is still playing hide-and-seek. There’s also the mysterious man we don’t know more about, so here’s hoping the second season will provide more insight about him. Based on how I feel about season one, which I’ll explain further in my season review, let’s hope we get those answers soon.
