English Dub Review: The Ancient Magus’ Bride “Conscience does make cowards of us all. II”

Overview:

Lucy’s visitor reveals more of the history behind the Webster tragedy, but two mysterious figures show up and attempt to finish the job. Elias continues to investigate why people are collapsing around the College.

Our Take:

So… there are wolf people and while on one hand that makes sense because of course there are but at the same time I would like a little bit of explanation as to who or what they are. I don’t think they are werewolves per se because they just didn’t seem to be. I think they are just bipedal wolf people and Chise led them right into a trap only to fall victim to her own bleeding heart. When one of them starts to mention their children she feels bad and helps them, only it’s too late for one of them.

We got to see most of what happened to Lucy’ family and why her and her brother have such a strained relationship. Seth didn’t show aptitude in becoming an alchemist so Lucy became the successor and thought her brother hated her for it. Not only that but she believed he was the one who had her family killed. Hopefully, we see their relationship get repaired during this.
