English Dub Review: My Home Hero “The Fateful Day”

Overview:

After Tetsuo and Kyoichi inspect Kyoichi’s apartment, they share what could be their “last meal.” When they go back to Takeda, new evidence shows up that makes Kyoichi a prime suspect.

Our Take:

Kyoichi is in the organization so he had to know that something like this was possible to happen someday but this still made me sad. I know Tetsuo is the main character and I would do anything for my family too but Kyoichi doesn’t deserve what is happening. I’m still holding out hope that there might be a situation where Tetsuo helps him out but I have a feeling that won’t be the case moving forward. The boy just wants his family to be okay.

I have to say I am really intrigued about the next episode for one reason, I want to see how Kasen planted the evidence! This episode ends with her on the roof of Kyoichi’s apartment complex looking like she’s about to base jump or something. What I do know is that Kasen and Tetsuo have been one of the best portrayals of a loving and realistic couple I’ve seen in an anime in a long time.
