English Dub Review: My Home Hero “Father”

Overview:

Hearing the truth from Kyoichi, Matori visits Reika’s apartment where Tetsuo happens to be. Just like on that fateful day, Tetsuo hides in the closet. Seeing rage and sorrow of Matori, Tetsuo decides to end it by confessing the crime to Matori.

Our Take:

What I mean by no evidence can be evidence is that you can scrub something so clean that it’s clear that you were trying to hide something. Only someone trying to clean up blood or other bodily fluids would be that thorough. I wonder if that has ever been used in a criminal investigation before, my guess would be yes.

There’s one episode left so my heart will finally get some time to rest. Tetsuo and Matori are locked in a fight to the death and police are also on their way. Tetsuo was fully prepared to own up to his actions. Whether that means killing himself, being killed, or turning himself in, he is prepared to face the consequences. That all changes when Matori informs him that he won’t be getting let off so easily. Tetsuo will be made to watch as his wife and daughter are raped and then killed by the organization. As you can imagine, Tetsuo isn’t okay with this so he fights with all he has. All while being pepper sprayed mind you which I have heard is one of the most painful things in the world. This conflict probably won’t be fully resolved in the last episode but I am looking forward to seeing how this part gets resolution at the very least.
