English Dub Review: My Clueless First Friend “My First Time Having Guests Over”
Overview:
Nishimura invites her friends over to her house.
Our Take:
The first half of this episode mainly consists of Nishimura’s classmates teasing her as usual. However, Takada always comes around and showers her with compliments. Kasahara is showing a little more development, but that’s not given much focus.
The main segment of the episode involves Nishimura inviting her friends over to her house. She’s so excited that cleans the whole place. She even gets her dad to help her buy cakes and tea for everyone.
Unfortunately, Nishimura wakes up the next morning with a fever. She thinks her friends will be upset, but they actually all come over anyway to check on her. It’s a nice wholesome moment, especially since this is the first time Nishimura has ever had friends over.
I honestly thought that I would get a little sick of seeing Takada constantly turning everyone’s insults around and making Nishimura blush. I was wrong because it’s not getting old even this late into the series. I’m expecting a slightly new dynamic soon since Kasahara is becoming friendlier with Nishimura, but only time will tell.
I love the fact that Nishimura’s friends come to see her when she’s sick. It was very predictable, but that doesn’t matter. Nishimura never had friends before she met Takada, so it means a lot to her. It also makes this scene a little more impactful.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
