ENGLISH DUB REVIEW: I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too “The Princess and the Assassin”
Overview
Lexia has been attacked, a crime punishable by execution. But Yuuya knows the would-be assassin and he can’t help wondering what could have caused them to do such a thing. The answer is shocking…as is the arrival of a new family member for Yuuya…
Our Take
In this episode, we delve deeper into Luna’s backstory and her association with the “Dark Guild,” revealing her past as an assassin and her current mission to eliminate Lexia. Despite Luna’s initial intentions, both Yūya and Lexia extend their friendship to her, with Lexia even offering her a position as her bodyguard. Surprisingly, both girls also express their affection for Yūya, setting up a complex dynamic among the trio.
After spending the night together, Yūya accompanies Luna and Lexia to the edge of the forest before parting ways due to his other commitments. Along the way, Yūya encounters a new companion, a scarlet boar named “Akatsuki,” adding to his growing group of animal allies. Meanwhile, back on Earth, Yūya participates in a soccer trial competition and continues to impress, showcasing his skills as a goalie. Later that day, a familiar face reemerges, hinting at potential conflicts to come.
Overall, this episode was passable while also delving into Luna’s troubled past. And despite the chaos of her failed assassination attempt, the two are now on friendly terms and have become rivals for Yūya’s affection. The addition of Akatsuki as a new animal companion, and Yūya’s participation in the soccer trial competition makes for an eventful Golden Week. And despite having 3 episodes left, I’m in suspense to see where this goes next!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
