ENGLISH DUB REVIEW: I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too “Off-Campus Study Trip”
Overview
The study trip isn’t at all what Yūya and the others had imagined. They’re faced with a series of unexpected challenges. Later, Yuuya meets with Lexia and her guards so they can escort him to his audience with the King, but Yūya’s trusted pet begins acting strangely…
Our Take
Upon returning to camp, Yūya takes charge of cooking using the foraged ingredients, impressing Ms. Sawada with his culinary skills. Her admiration reaches unexpected levels as she jokingly expresses a desire for him to be her future husband, much to the chagrin of other female students who admire Yūya. The atmosphere shifts dramatically when a wild bear intrudes on the camping area the next day, posing a threat to everyone’s safety. Yūya’s response to the situation is both unexpected and awe-inspiring, as he manages to neutralize the bear without resorting to lethal force, showcasing his remarkable abilities.
As the day progresses, Yūya finds himself unexpectedly involved in thwarting Luna’s attack on Princess Lexia, resulting in him knocking Luna unconscious. Despite this, Yūya doesn’t believe Luna is a bad person and demands answers. So Yūya, spontaneously joined by Lexia, teleports them all to the Sage’s hut to treat Luna’s injuries…
This was a lot to take in for this episode. Usually stories with obvious self-insert, overpowered protagonists can be pretty dull (If written by Woke people with incomprehensible pro-nouns), but in this case, the craziness was dialed up to eleven in ridiculously entertaining ways. As if being a hyper-capable badass with magical skills wasn’t enough, Wrestling a Bear unscathed and winning the affections of a Teacher should be added to the list. But understandably even he’s a bit creeped out by this. Also, his new teleportation magic he discovered quite convenient with Yūya mostly using it to feed his cute pet at night. As for the way this ended and the post-credits scene, let’s where this goes…
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
