Review: Royal Crackers “CrackerCon”
Overview
The team heads to beautiful Primm, Nev. to attend the “Super Bowl for global snack food companies” CrackerCon.
Our Take
I was ready to write off this episode as “cliche” given the premise because just about every animated comedy has done a convention episode nowadays, but then the climax kicks in, and I’m right back at proclaiming this series the best new animated comedy of 2023.
Theo’s bit about finding a long lost stripper was really only made funny when the Durst-wannabe got his ass handed to him courtesy of a baseball bat-wielding strip club owner, but everything about what was going on inside of the convention was money. From the cracker-shooting Tommy gun, to the raging battle sequence, to anytime Andy Daly’s “Dennison” shows up to nearly steal every scene he’s in, Royal Crackers knows how to take a tired premise, add salt, and give me quite a few punches to the gut.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but we need a comic book of Stebe’s new superhero alter-ego yesterday.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
