Our Take
Again, I think I would prefer straight up Beavis and Butt-Head OR middle-aged per two episodes each on a weekly basis, but really I can’t complain when both episodes are this hilarious. “Tobacco” kicks off a little slow and I was worried that the constant kicking of dirt wasn’t going to lead anywhere, but the climax where they get the shit kicked out of them proved me wrong and I’m happier for it.
Personally, I thought “Married” could be another movie pitch. Given that the boys hail from Highland, Texas, a state that has only legalized marriage for gay couples going on seven years now though the LGBT community still gets chastised by its local leaders. Seeing the boys lead a gay pride march or other areas of the cause could have really shown a lot more breadth with a very good seedling of an idea.
Finally, the cutaways. Only two this week, and by far the funnier one was the Apartment Tour for TWO reasons: 1) I have no idea who Sabrina Carpenter is and 2) the jokes against social media producers are by far funnier and a bit more sinister which I always appreciate. Another solid week from the producers, all of whom have been doing a great job with a stellar second season.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
