Our Take

Picking up from the aftermath, Oshtor announces that Soyankekur and Genho are the new Ministers of Right and Left. Atuy and Nosuri take their places as one of the Eight Pillar Generals. Later, Saraana & Uruuru take Oshtor and Kuon to Honoka, who takes them to Mito.

Oshtor is surprised to see him still alive and Mito thanks him for protecting his daughter and retaking the country. In a series of elaborate and conspiratorial events, Oshtor wonders what happened to him and Mito explains everything…

Overall, an intense and emotional episode. I still can’t get my head around why Haku has been Impersonating Oshtor all this time. While all of it seemed well-intentioned, It still feels like such a dick move. He could have led his forces forward and taken the capital to avenge Oshtor’s death. But you can also make the argument that Haku is a literal nobody that would be going up against the Imperial Court. There would be no forces for him to take because he has no political power, no military power, etc. Haku in theory would not be able to even start any of this without Oshtor’s identity. It’s a charade that even if you didn’t play the PS Vita game was destined not to last. But the question is how will they further continue the story after this?
