English Dub Review: My Clueless First Friend “Changing Desks, Class Reps, and New Friends”

Overview:

Nishimura and Takada become desk neighbors, Nishimura becomes class rep, and she makes a new friend.

Our Take:

Nishimura sports a new hairstyle and Takada loves it. The classes changes desks for the new semester and the two friends are now sitting next to each other. A new semester also means new class representatives. Kitagawa volunteers Nishimura, which means Takada automatically wants to be the other rep. Kasahara is jealous and wants to be class reps with Takada instead. Of course, Kasahara ends up becoming class reps with Nishimura instead.

Nishimura and Takada also become friends with their classmate Umi Adachi. She asks Nishimura for advice on what to get Hino for his birthday. Coincidentally enough, Takada invites them both to Hino’s surprise party. Adachi ends up giving Hino a great present and Nishimura gets a new friend. It works out for everyone.

I don’t know how many times I can say this a very sweet show, but it really is. Takada making Nishimura blush never gets old. I also love seeing Kasahara’s plan to get Takada away from Nishimura backfire. I’m hoping that Kasahara will get closer to Nishimura now that they’re class reps, but only time will tell.

I also love the fact that Nishimura finally makes a new friend. Adachi is a fun character upon this first introduction and I’m looking forward to seeing more of her. I also hope that she manages to get closer to Hino like she wants to.

The post-credit scene is extremely sweet. I don’t want to give it away, but it develops Nishimura’s and Takada’s relationship even further. We get a little preview of what might come later and I’m here for it.
