English Dub Season Review: Trigun Stampede Season One
Overview:
Follow gunman Vash the Stampede as he struggles to maintain his pacifist ways while avoiding the immense bounty on his head.
Our Take:
Now I’m not sure if this is a reboot, or a prequel of sorts because I have no experience with the previous series but one thing I do know is that this was a fun time. Not only that but it made me a believer in CGI actually being good in anime.
One of the most important things about this anime and the part that made me want to review this series was the fact that Johnny Yong Bosch was returning as Vash. This is another area where my inexperience with the series does me no favors. But from what I can tell Johnny is the only original voice actor to reprise but they did get some great talent for this one so don’t be too disappointed.
I usually hate CGI getting used in anime but this series might have made me a believer. If it can be implemented like this then I don’t mind if they use it all the time. The movements were so smooth and the action scenes were some of the best I’ve seen.
The story was enjoyable and I really hope we get more. I know that a lot of people were upset with the new look of Vash and everyone but I think it did a great job. It was one of the better anime of the season. Whether you’ve seen the original Trigun or this is your first time meeting Vash the Stampede I recommend you give this one a shot.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
