English Dub Review: Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion “Why Raeliana Trained in Domestic Arts”
Overview (Spoilers Below):
Raeliana finally seals the deal with Noah Wynknight, resulting in her moving into his mansion. After discussing the conditions of their contract further, Raeliana goes through bridal training to become the perfect fiancé for Noah. Then, with the ball coming up, Raeliana learns about their surprise engagement from Noah.
Our Take:
It didn’t take us too long for Raeliana to get closer to Noah. Thus we know why she ended up at the Duke’s mansion. But, of course, we’re just getting started as Raeliana continues to go along with this fake relationship until Brooks finally gives up on her. Although, based on how I saw Brooks, that won’t be for a while.
However, Raeliana’s continuous plan happens to be a bit tougher than she thought, as Noah’s snarky personality proves to be irritable for her. For example, Noah invades Raeliana’s privacy while she’s resting from listening to the mansion’s butler Gideon, who explains his knowledge and family history nonstop. In fact, his behavior is enough for Raeliana to struggle with calling him by his first name as part of their deal. Thankfully, Noah doesn’t come close to being as much of an asshole as Brooks regarding his shocked reaction to Raeliana in her gorgeous dress.
I mentioned earlier that the show gives me I’m the Villainess vibes based on the dynamic between Raeliana and Noah. She attempted to make the new relationship work to keep herself alive despite her new “fiancé” becoming a handful. The vibe still exists in this episode, but it also reminded me of Beauty and the Beast, which is odd considering that Noah is human instead of a literal monster. I guess it’s because the mansion’s makeup artist Nick Mallox makes me think of Lumiere from the Disney film regarding his French accent.
Despite the similarities, this episode continues to make the show a pleasant watch despite it being a bit slow sometimes. The addition of Nick Mallox was a genuine treat, and we got to hear Adam Taylor speak for the first time. Sure, it was only for a couple of lines, but it was a start for this mysterious bodyguard. With the “couple” heading towards the ball and Noah planning to announce their engagement, we can assume that it will undoubtedly be a night to remember for us and Raeliana.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
