English Dub Review: The Reincarnation Of The Strongest Exorcist In Another World “Future Sight”

Overview (Spoilers Below):
Seika comes to learn more about Fiona and her powers.

Our Take:
Fiona’s true intentions were revealed in the previous episode, with her being a politician who schemed her way to royalty. However, she also has something planned for Seika and Amu, who were both predicted as the Hero and the Demon King through Fiona’s vision. Unsurprisingly, Seika became suspicious of the Holy Princess as he tried to avoid her to no avail. However, this episode shows that Fiona only cares about being popular more than the current political system. So it appears that Seika and Fiona have more in common than they thought since they both aren’t fans of getting into politics.
Sadly, the oracle princess is the least of Seika’s problems, as we get another glimpse of the powerful demons hellbent on killing the “Hero”. The demons are Zor the Devil God, Muderev the Strongest Ogre, Lo-Ni the Monster Tamer, Pyrslaria the Evil Eye, and Gull-Ganis the Devil. If the end of “Yifa’s Resolve” isn’t enough to convince you how dangerous these demons are, look no further than “Future Sight”, where they defeat and consume a group of bandits like a bunch of M&Ms. However, this demonic team didn’t realize that their true goal might be a suicide mission, as Zor stated.
We also see further proof that Fiona is indeed an ally for Seika, as she helps him and Grey capture the assassins tasked to kill her thanks to her ability. Thankfully, the assassins aren’t that big of an issue, mainly since the demons already ate their reinforcements. Regarding her assistance and cryptic message to Seika, we can confirm that she’s no longer a threat to the young exorcist.
I would consider it a good thing because the interactions between Fiona and Seika during their chess match were simply endearing, especially when she explained her rising bread in her stomach scenario from her childhood. With only the demonic team left for Seika to defeat in the season’s final stretch, the question now is whether Seika’s powers would be enough to conquer these dangerous foes. Only time will tell as we’re one step closer to the final battle between exorcist and demon.
