English Dub Review: The Ancient Magus’ Bride “Live and let live. II”

Overview:

Chise attends her first day at the College with Elias in tow.

Our Take:

It always blows my mind with anime characters and their ages. How old do you think Chise is? Did you guess fifteen and that she will be attending middle school? No? Me neither and that blows my mind and kind of makes me feel weird for rooting for the romance angle of this show. I’ve heard this is one of the best romance anime you can watch but that seems a bit odd.

While not the longest wait between anime seasons, it has been five years. Wait it’s been five years since 2018?! Okay, that is a pretty long wait but we anime fans have had longer waits. At least with this series, there was the odd side story or two to keep us invested.

One thing that always stands out to me with this series is Dani Chambers. I feel like she has a very recognizable voice and usually plays the cutesy type. I’m not saying Chise isn’t cute but she is much more somber and quiet than the characters Dani usually plays. I honestly think this might be my favorite role of hers.
