English Dub Review: The Ancient Magus’ Bride “Birds of a feather flock together”

Overview:

It’s a day of new beginnings at the College as Chise attends her first day of classes and meets some of her fellow students, and Elias adopts a mysterious guise for his first time teaching as a visiting instructor.

Our Take:

Something tells me this is going to be an anime that is just cozy to watch. Sure that sounds a bit weird with some of the danger and action that crops up but there’s just something about it. Maybe it’s the countryside atmosphere of England that we normally don’t get in an anime setting. I saw someone say that this is a good anime for Ghibli fans and I have to say I agree so far.

Chise has come a long way and I love how she’s developed so far. I was wondering who the sexy lady teacher was but it just turned out to be Elias using a glamour. Imagine my dismay when he dropped the glamour. Chise was called upon to demonstrate how to use magic with familiars though for some reason they were called “neighbors” or maybe I got it wrong. What I don’t have wrong is that this is a fun and cozy show that after only two episodes I would give a recommendation to those looking for such anime, just start at the beginning.
