English Dub Review: Sugar Apple Fairy Tale “I Didn’t Want to Let Go”
Overview
Anne has been kicked out of the Radcliffe Workshop. To her relief, she’s allowed to take the sugar confection she made for the Exhibition with her, so she can still participate. Then Mithril Lid Pod notices something strange about Anne’s silver sugar…
Our Take
Man this show and all the characters in it give me a fucking headache. Why does nearly everyone have the emotional depth of a coffee table or have it out for Anne who isn’t a Fairy? For instance, why would the king and sugar viscount doubt Anne’s talent when they’ve seen it on display before? She’d have no reason to lie or try to enter the contest without having crafted her batch of silver sugar.
Also, the old man is just unnecessarily rude when Keith tries to explain as well. Then the workshop owner still refuses to believe that his nephew did it even when Anne would have no reason to lie. And finally, with the way this ended, if that was gonna be the last time Challe saw Anne why not just be direct instead of leaving her to wonder what she could’ve done to make her leave?
Overall, I seriously don’t like how this ended. Bridget is just as scummy as Jonas and I’m not upset with the way Shalle handled Anne’s situation, but I think he won’t have much trouble taking the wing-back, it was his goal with Anne in the first place. It remains to be seen if things will continue on a pleasant note compared to this bittersweet downer of an ending…
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
