English Dub Review: Buddy Daddies “Daughter Daddies”
Overview:
Kazuki and Rei go to settle their score with the organization, but they have to be done in time for the daycare’s Christmas party.
Our Take:
Life is seemingly back to normal for Miri and her papas. Rei actually seems to be sticking to his word and he’s making more of an effort this time around. It’s also time for the daycare’s Christmas party and the class’s performance of “Silent Night.” Miri is still expecting her mother to be there, but Kazuki tells her that she won’t be able to make it. Naturally, he’s still keeping the truth from her. He also asks Miri what she wants Santa to bring her, but she says she’s already gotten her gift.
Kazuki and Rei are going to the Christmas party, but they have something they have to take care of first. They have to cut ties with the organization. This isn’t as simple as it seems. It involves a lot of gunshots, a lot of bloodshed, and even some casualties. Not to mention, Rei has to confront his father and finally tell him no.
It’s not easy, but everything works out for the two and they make it to the Christmas party. We see a nice touching moment between them all. Not only that, but we get a time skip epilogue and it’s a very satisfying conclusion to the story.
This is a great ending and it has a little bit of everything. It offers some great action, humor, and plenty of emotion to go around. I love the character work in this episode and I especially like the confrontation between Rei and his father. The tension in this scene is incredibly believable. There were a lot of potential ways this show could end, but the way it actually ends is one of the better scenarios.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
