Metaverse Fashion Week 2023 Kicks Off: Diesel, Tommy Hilfiger, DOLCE&GABBANA, and adidas

Kicking off today is the biggest Metaverse event of the year, Metaverse Fashion Week 2023. Leading brands like Diesel, Tommy Hilfiger, DOLCE&GABBANA, and adidas will be on hand to help shape the future of digital avatar fashion along with 60+ other brands. Expect runways shows, after-parties, educational talks, shopping, immersive experiences, and entertainment.

Neo Plaza is the primary meeting point where all of the brands mentioned will have installation points. The Decentraland Marketplace will allow you to purchase wearables for your avatar with a big mission being interoperability between different metaverse platforms like VRChat, Spatial, and more.

Last year, over 100,000 people attended Metaverse Fashion Week and spent about $80,000 which accounts for under 10,000 wearables. However, these numbers are expected to be exceeded as increased adoption rates for programs like Spatial, Roblox, The Sandbox and Over the Reality have grown over the last several years.

This news of course comes as Disney has announced that they have eliminated their metaverse team which was a big focus for outgoing CEO Bob Chapek. That said, Paris Blockchain Week closed last week’s festivities with a big meta party featuring Snoop Dogg and his son Champ Medici.
