Our Take

Oshtor during a random comedic scene proceeds to play a card game against Nosuri, but she is quite bad at it. Nekone then comes bringing news that one of the Eight Pillar Generals, Tokifusa of Izuruha, had requested an alliance with them.

Ougi and Nosuri explain that he took over Izuruha after their father, but they barely know him. While it may be a trap, Oshtor decides to risk it as it’s a good chance and decide they should go to Izuruha to sort things out …

Overall, these episodes fly by too fast in terms of pacing, but it looks like another battle is on the horizon though. While this episode shared implied themes of certain characters getting their drinks spiked, these character arcs set things up nicely for the final battle in the second cour. I’d rather have this than rush things to the final battle and neglect all the characters. But at the very least, I’m happy to learn more about the brother-sister duo, especially the Nosuri who I usually didn’t pay much attention to since she didn’t get much screen time, yet learned a lesson about Integrity by the end…
