English Dub Review: The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made “Battle for Barbador Magic Academy”

Overview:

With the students of F-class defeated, their beautiful teacher, Beatrice, rises up to protect them and fight the apostles assailing the academy.

Our Take:

As far as fights go that was definitely an interesting one. Seiichi seems to be the Goku or Saitama of this series in that most of the other combatants are just buying time until he shows up. Then again the next episode is titled “Seiichi Dies” apparently so what do I know? The hit he took at the end there didn’t look especially rough but hey people have died from less I suppose.

I think we all thought Beatrice was beautiful before this fight and this just cemented it. I thought they were playing on the “weighted clothing” trope with her jacket but I could have just been focusing too much on it.

This anime is definitely a fun time, though not always a “good” time. The animation is serviceable and the worldbuilding is decent enough. But for this arc at least it hasn’t really focused on the characters I’m actually interested in. Maybe we are going to get a mini-reset after this and it will refocus but I just want to see more of Seiichi and his harem.
