English Dub Review: My Hero Academia “Friend”
Overview:
As Izuku goes off alone in his quest for justice, his classmates realize something is wrong and try to find a way to help him.
Our Take:
Unfortunately, I have to start out this review complaining about Crunchyroll’s platform once again. It seems like most shows get uploaded when they’re supposed to but for whatever reason My Hero Academia always takes forever. I’ve heard from others that it goes to Funimation first but for a company that told us we could cancel our Funimation subscriptions, it’s getting a little frustrating. I don’t know when it actually hit Crunchyroll but I know I stopped checking around nine at night. Not to mention they’re still not translating the text on-screen. Just ruins the experience for me.
The episode was fantastic and you know things are bad when Deku starts acting the way he is now. Not taking care of himself, and doing the “I’m fine, really” routine. All Might’s scream for him to come back was sad, shout out to Chris Sabat once again. Class 1-A is here to help Deku but first, it looks like there might be a fight on their hands. Can Deku take all of Class 1-A by himself now?
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
