English Dub Review: The Daily Life of the Immortal King “The Observer Beyond Time And Space”

Overview:

Wang Ling is taken before the leader of the demon army. Meanwhile, Sun Rong rallies the citizens of Earth to fight back.

Our Take:

Lin Xiaoyu happens to be part of a butterfly race and they happen to have some pretty broken abilities. Traveling through space-time amongst them seems like it would make it pretty hard to conquer them but that is just what the demon race did.

For a second I thought I had missed an episode because the last I remembered was Wang Ling getting captured. Surprisingly, it was Xiaoyu who did the capturing because she is trying to get her Spirit Sword back. A noble cause to be sure but luckily for her Wang Ling can kick some ass. I’m pretty sure this is the first time we’ve seen Wang Ling go all out and it was everything I hoped it would be.

This was the season finale for season two but if things go how they have been then I’m hopeful that we will get season three sooner than later. There have been quite a few delays but something tells me we will get it pretty quickly. They didn’t take too long with season two and this seems to be one of the more popular ones they want to get on. Plus I’m looking forward to seeing where the Wang and Sun romance goes.
