Our Take
As Ann and the party stay at the doctor’s inn, Ann and her party meets a previous guest who calls himself Hugh. When Hugh knows that Ann and Jonas are Silver Sugar masters, Hugh asks them to make Silver Sugar in exchange for providing accommodation. However, Hugh’s judgment is mixed, as if he were testing her skills. That night, as if to cheer up Ann, Shalle reveals some of his past for the first time…
It was the story of Liz and the Black Fairy. The girl was 5 years old. Liz had orange-colored hair which might foreshadow things in the long run if this flashback has any sort of significance later. but one of Hugh’s fairy servants strangely mistaken Shalle for a companion fairy, and they didn’t believe he was a warrior, the other warrior fairy was beautiful as well, so what’s the implication here?
Overall, I was beginning to worry the show had lost its edge after watching the second episode, this was much more impactful. Part of me was caught off guard, but I think the episode’s title was a dead giveaway that some sort of betrayal would happen even if it felt a bit contrived. I have a feeling though, that Hugh criticized Ann not to be mean but to help her improve and set herself apart on an artistic level, criticized seeing him at the exhibition too as soon as the cliffhanger’s chaos dissipates…
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
