English Dub Review: Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time Super Extra “Peter Grill and the Goblin who returned the favor”

While Peter weeps in his cell, an Elite Hobgoblin named Gobuko unexpectedly comes to his rescue. It’s almost as though she’s got something on her mind…


Our Take

Further continuing the Goblin Mating Season storyline, Peter is now nude and to put it mildly… imprisoned. But is thankfully rescued by a Goblin from the previous episode who just so happened to have had an actual history with his family and mostly wants to help Peter out of obligation, and she’s the same girl whom Peter saved all those years ago, but couldn’t from the goblin hunters. Thankfully she’s fine now, though much like most of Peter’s unwanted Harem, she’s well built and has no qualms about wanting to bang him like the rest.

Of course, we briefly meet a bizarre character named “Sir Kenji” who sure knows his way around goblins and quenching their lustful thirst, but due to a grossly contrived cliffhanger, those answers will be hard to find. For now…

Overall, this a very quick-paced episode that helped the plot move forward without feeling like filler. I also wondered at first what the Goblin lady’s ties to Peter were due to seeing her in the promotional material, but at least it was something positive and harmless. And this is juxtaposed with the Goblin Queen and the treatment she does to Peter in the show’s cold opening, to say the least. The show aside from the wacky sexual hijinx of Peter also suffers from an extreme amount of censorship so it remains to be seen if an uncensored version of this season exists somewhere without going full hentai. Hopefully, the plot keeps this up, and Peter and his harem crew can get themselves out of this without going full genocide on the Goblins.
