English Dub Review: Ningen Fushin: Adventurers Who Don’t Believe in Humanity Will Save the World “A Meeting with the Iron Tigers”;” Mathematics Bare Knuckle”
Overview:
Nick meets a figure from his past he never wanted to see again.
The Survivors challenge the Iron Tigers in a battle of both brains and brawn.
Our Take:
I’ve never seen math used in such an exciting way. The Iron Tigers and the Survivors are competing in a mathematics brawl. One member answers math questions while another member has a fistfight with someone on the opposing team. Now, where the math comes in, the team that answers fewer questions gets a penalty hit. You have to get hit without blocking which could spell doom for Nick because Curran is the one answering questions and she isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer.
Since they were facing off against people that they knew were bad and probably cheating they put all their eggs in discovering their tactics mid-game. Kizuna (the living sword) can use telepathy so I don’t know why that wasn’t used more effectively during this competition but the end result was good. I’m sure that for Nick seeing his ex Claudine get what she deserved was more than enough.
I think this series has been fun and charming but not necessarily anything special. The characters are enjoyable and are carrying the series for me. I like that they are coming together as a group but still have their own quirks. I would love to see some romance come in soon though, that would put this over the edge for me.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
