Futurama: Will Kif And Amy’s Children Be In Hulu Revival?

We celebrated another anniversary just a few days ago in the world of adult animation, and now we’ve got another one. On January 12th, 2003, Futurama episode “Kif Gets Knocked Up A Notch,” premiered in what would be the third and final season of Futurama that would premiere on FOX.

That would mean it’s been twenty years since the episode aired that revolves around a premise of Kif getting pregnant with Amy’s children and returning to his home world to give birth. When Kif births a litter of tadpoles, we learn from Kif that his children won’t be able to live outside of the water and walk around for another…twenty years.

So there’s two ways to look at this. Yes, technically we’re not in the year 3023 yet so we have no idea if these kids are for real. BUT, if we continue with the fact that we are watching the purview of the year 3000 through the eyes of Fry and that with the year 2023 being the year in which we are expected to get the first-half of the twenty ordered episodes of Futurama, then it’s not a wild leap of an imagination to expect that perhaps we could get some sort of answer as to what Kif and Amy’s children are up to now AND if they are up and about.

Of course, if we listen to the rules of The Simpsons and most animated sitcoms, time doesn’t move in adult animation, and it’s entirely plausible that nothing happens at all. Only one way to find out!

Synopsis:

While delivering pizza on New Year’s Eve 1999, Philip J. Fry is accidentally cryonically frozen and thawed out one thousand years into the future. From the creator of “The Simpsons,” “Futurama” is a sci-fi animated comedy.
