First all-Latino animated series in Web3 “House of Chico” Season Finale Dated Feb. 3

“House of Chico,” the first Web3 adult animated series with an all-Latino cast and the second installment of “The Gimmicks” – from Web3 entertainment studio, Toonstar, is slated to celebrate its season finale this Friday.

Executive produced by Mark Consuelos, the 7-episode series centers on “The Gimmicks” fan-favorite Chico el Luchador (voiced by Rocky Romero), as he returns to his home in Mexico following a failed wrestling career in America. Throughout the season, fans have voted on storylines and engaged with the series, making Web3 a new avenue in Hollywood for interactive, participatory storytelling.

SERIES SYNOPSIS

House of Chico is an industry first Hispanic adult animated telenovela. It follows our hero, Chico el Luchador (voiced by wrestling champion, Rocky Romero), after the destruction of Kayfabe Estates in The Gimmicks Season 1. Chico is forced to return home to Mexico and move back in with his family only to discover that they and the entire Maravilla Lucha promotion seem to have fallen under the influence of a villainous capitalist PT Barnum-like character.

The series is executive produced by Mark Consuelos and Hollywood veteran writers “The Daves,” Dave Ihlenfeld and David Wright (“Family Guy,” “Star Trek: Lower Decks”). Mike Tenengo serves as lead writer and Alberto Portillo serves as producer.
