English Dub Review: The Daily Life of the Immortal King “The Observer Beyond Time and Space”

Overview: 

Sun Rong’s spell affects the whole world and her and Wang Ling look for a way to put an end to it. She just has to reject all of Earth, easy right?

Our Take:

If Wang Ling doesn’t eventually tell Sun Rong how he feels by the end of this season I am going to be super pissed. We keep seeing that he is becoming more in touch with his feelings and showing more of his humanity. It seemed like he might do it in this episode but I know that it leans more into the comedy side of things so I had a feeling it was going to just be something silly.

I can’t be too upset about it because as far as comedy goes this show has been one of the best. Wang Ling’s attitude towards everything is pretty great and not being worried about what is going to happen to characters makes for a fun and easy watch. Not everything needs to be a super stressful dramatic thing and that is something The Daily Life of the Immortal King does better than most other anime.
