English Dub Review : My Hero Academia “Threads of Hope”

Overview:

Best Jeanist appears and spins together the hopes of all the heroes in this fight as the climax of the all-out war draws near.

Our Take:

Just when all hope seemed lost Best Jeanist showed up and put the haters to rest. I had forgotten how overpowered his quirk could be if used right. I have no idea what kind of wires or fibers he is manipulating here but they are big enough to hold down Machia and that is a huge task. Also, I don’t know how Bakugo is still fighting and giving as well as he is with a hole in his abdomen but he’s definitely inspiring.

I feel bad for Deku because he feels so helpless and wants to join in but can’t. Sometimes true strength is realizing you have to leave things up to others. All Might’s downfall was doing everything himself in my opinion so I think this could be a good lesson for our boy. I don’t know what it is about this show but I always find myself tearing up with all the friendship that happens in situations like this. We are about to get to some of the best parts of the manga to me so I can’t wait for the next couple of episodes.
