English Dub Review: Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun “Devilishly Pure”
Overview
Iruma and Lead are leisurely eating their ingredients while the other members of the Misfit Class are earning points. Iruma was experiencing a survivor’s high after having his life put in danger. They decided to enjoy their time eating, putting a priority on surviving the longest in the Harvest Festival. They start talking about memories of a Devi mixer they went to and are just enjoying their time. However, they are suddenly approached by a mysterious Kigurumi…
Our Take
At the start, Iruma’s group has himself and Lead, going to Block 4 and looking at an uncertain terrain filled with creatures and trees. Except that since this test takes “6,666 minutes” (or roughly 4 days’ worth), there’s a lot to do. And in the process, Iruma’s old survival skills reengaged means “lets frolic in the jungle”. I can’t help laughing despite his strategy making sense.
Still, I am worried about them running out of ingredients to hunt before they get around to looking for them. And more importantly, I thought Clara was going to do something very different to Iruma before the preview cleared things up. Also, why would Elizabetta target other members within the Misfit Class when they all need to reach Dalet to remain in the Royal one? Sure, there are more chances to rank up than just the Harvest Festival, but surely there would be better targets for Elizabetta to go for.
Overall, not a whole lot happened in this episode, except for Lead getting his ingredients taken by Elizabetta, and who can blame him for that? Iruma has some good tactics as well, eating before hunting, we’ll see if that pays off for him and Lead. Also, the eating scene from earlier reminds me of Dragon Ball and Goku and Vegeta always eating as they don’t even care no matter what is happening around them. As for what Clara did to Iruma in her giant mascot suit, I’m curious about what direction this could possibly take in the next episode.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
